Bartlet bear with black armband
Bartlet was name after Josiah Bartlet, the fictional president played by Martin Sheen on The West Wing. His name came from the fact that he sat with us on the couch while we watched the show. When the show ended in 2006, he was inconsolable, hence the black armband.
Sharon at the University Place library just before its demolition
Sharon is such an aficionado of the UP library that she was in mourning about its demolition. Fortunately a new buildng was (later) built on the same site after the University Place Town Center was developed.
