Laura and her boyfriend Dan rode across the country from Vermont to Tacoma in just under two months. It was a fantastic adventure, and typical of Laura's willingness to stretch herself when it comes to the outdoors

When Laura was young, she regularly asked for a dog. We finally relented, but only by getting Ralph. Ralph is a great dog to lie against, and is always sporting a sad look on his face. This was taken just after Laura to go back East, and Sharon and Robert felt the way Ralph looked.
