June: Lisa's Cat Iris

While Lisa was studying abroad in Paris for the 2002-03 school year, we took care of her cat Iris. Iris was both a delightful and difficult pet. Two difficult incidents involved Iris intentionally injesting a sewing needle, shortly after it was dropped to the floor and before it could be retrieved. Both times she needed endoscopic (and expensive!) surgery to extract the needle.
